He has obtained, on behalf of brand owners, injunctions against hundreds of diverters barring them from bringing international goods in to the U.S. Geoffrey has also executed seizure orders globally against hundreds of individuals and businesses that have manufactured and distributed counterfeits, resulting in the seizure and destruction of millions of counterfeits, the collection of tens of millions of dollars in settlements and judgments, and the incarceration of many counterfeiters. He has represented major corporation in a broad range of industries worldwide, primarily in cases involving counterfeit products with the potential to cause serious injury or death, such as Johnson & Johnson (counterfeit LifeScan brand blood glucose test strips); Church & Dwight, Co. (counterfeit Trojan brand condoms), The Procter & Gamble Company (counterfeit Pantene and Head & Shoulders brand shampoos), and Living Essentials, Inc. (counterfeit 5-Hour ENERGY brand nutritional supplement). Outside of litigation, he counsels clients on integrated risk reduction solutions and best practices for avoiding counterfeiting and diversion problems. He advises on proactive methods to secure products and packaging against counterfeiters and diverters and on the development of programs to guard and monitor distribution channels.
